The perfect shade for this season is red which looks good on everybody not to mention even with different face tone but stylists recommend choosing the shade of the lipstick based on the attire and accessories you wear.

However, people who have pale skin might also try out all the colors they want since there’s no restrictions. Then, people who have light pink skin can try out rich pink, coral, carmine or any other color lipsticks that will revitalize their complexion. Olive skin people should pay attention to warm colors such as red-brown, brick or crimson colors to add up some color to the face. Hats has been the ‘a la une’ in Tokyo markets this last month. The new fashion trend for girls in Tokyo is hats, but mind you not all types of hats, it’s the boater or “bota” or “kankanbo”, as it is known in Japanese which is the latest trend right now in Tokyo.

What’s the difference between this “bota” and normal hats? The “bota” is ‘made of straw and has a stiff or soft flat crown and brim, in general tied with a ribbon around the crown”. However some variations may exist, instead of using straw, materials especially colorful ones with bright flower patterns are used. And some of these hats have more decorations than a simple ribbon, for ie there can also be flowers attached to them.

These clothes we were referring to earlier were designed by a young man, Tae-Young Ko. Ko’s designs are very popular over there as some of them are cheap. It’s a matter of fact that his cheap designs caught the eye of Chun from Idiel who plans on launching Ko’s items in New York along with many affordable Korean goods.

We spotted nice handbags in the show that didn’t cost much. They looked made for all occasions. You know the Koreans, they would wear any bag for any occasions, no rules here. Obviously, most items here don’t cost that much if you were to shop for them at malls. On top of that, their items are always the recent ones with no passé stuffs on display. After the shows, we decided to do a little snooping around the malls to see what we can get. After all, it’s been a long time since we last were here.

After attending a few fashion shows earlier this year, we came across an invitation for the Korean Fashion Show so here we are now, reporting on the Korean Fashion Show. Let us first explain how Asian fashion works. When we first stepped into Japan several years ago, we found the fashion there a bit queer. Fashion there evolves fast, as fast as their trains. We thought high heels shoes were funny back then and whoops, a couple of years later, it’s a world fashion statement. We would say designers draw inspiration from these fast developing Asian countries.

Here we are again at the Korean Fashion Week, looking forward to some new trends and good food. As the show started, we found ourselves staring at some strange clothes. There was a whole array of male models with lipstick wearing clothes that was passé and present. A mixture of everything including glittering sleep masks, three-piece banker’s suits, diamond-studded teddy jackets and cartoon sweaters and “I Dream of Jeanie” pants. These are enough to send us in a spin.

At a recent fashion show, we witnessed a couple of handbags on the ramp. We have been talking about handbags since forever here on UM. This time in Milan, Fendi introduced their new line of bags. The new line consists of maxi pochette, the clutch hard, shoppers, the handbag and the peek-a-boo, quite a variety. The peek-a-boo will be available this winter in yellow and with a new leather striped.

We are aware of the fact that Fendi’s products are not that popular but people in fashion are aware of their shoes and bags. The new line which will make an appearance in winter comes in a different color scheme but black mainly takes the cake. There’s a bit of yellow, brown, caramel color with some blue. Fendi does produce some nice bags for every occasion. With their handbags, you get a whole package where each of us have our own preferred bag.
