The start of fashion can be traced back to the sixteenth century but its real manifestation happened in Europe among the social upper class two centuries later. From one country to another we can see different facets of fashion. In the same way, fashion is different from one person to another. Factors such as social class, profession and age also influence fashion.

In the course of time, it was the television that made fashion known to everyone and people became interested in it. Following on were fashion magazines, the cinema and more recently websites and blogs.

From the sixties to the twenties fashion has seen many changes, actually fashion means change. What was fashionable in the sixties was no longer fashionable in the seventies, however this same style can again become in fashion in the twenties, how? Thanks to our designers who give a new twist to their creations.

They amalgamate the oldies with the modern and come up with a completely new style. This is made possible especially with the new generation who wants to try anything. All in all Fashion is like a rotating ball, new becomes old and old becomes new.

No month is complete without a proper fashion show so with this in mind, we hopped off Milan where Calvin Klein is showcasing their new line of menswear. Renowned designer, Italo Zucchelli, who is touted by many as the design leader of today’s generation, will be showcasing his newly-inspired line for CK.

Zucchelli opted for a different approach to his design this time by going the unconventional way with his cropped clothes 7 hard high-tech finishes. Commenting on his designs, Zucchelli had this to say, “Graphic, clean, strong, New York!”

Basically, these new clothes consist of cropped sweatshirts that tend to show a man’s abdomen that is if he sports a muscular one. We are already imaging these beefy men showing off their huge abdomen to women or men alike. It’s hard to imagine men wearing this provocative outfit on the roads but let’s see as time changes with clothes or the other way around, hard to say!

For years, socks and sandals are known to be the ultimate style faux pas and a big no to those who wear them usually spotted on tourist and embarrassing parents trying to look fashionable. However, style rules are now set to be broken with wearing socks with sandals on the fashion button now.

For this spring, we emptied our wardrobe to see if we have anything suitable to carry this season, unfortunately, no. So we decided to set out and search for the perfect bag or bags around. There have been many appealing styles to choose from in a variety of shapes, sizes, and textures but price does matter as well.

From the list of nominees are Chloe bags which are really good. We don’t own one yet and thought to check out the Chloe line for spring. There are the Chloe Daytripper bags that come with red and black zipper and are not that huge, a style still modern. If you are lucky you can get the bag on sale. Last we checked the bags were at $238 each.

Other handbags that are not likely to come are from the likes of Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Derek Lam, and Gucci. Prada and Fendi presented us the clear plastic and Lucite style. Givenchy has the stingray skin style this spring. Carolina Herrera and Bottega Veneta are into crochet and woven details. Lastly, Versace and Proenza Schouler are into contrasting colors for their handbags this spring.

As we all know spring is on the way as it’s pouring all over the country. It is said that every cloud has a silver lining which is absolutely true when Luxury British brand, Burberry has launched its April Showers collection to actually brighten up the our dark days.

Burberry has released new trends that are both targeted at men and women such as the tailored coats in bold and primary colors. You can match those with polo shirts and dresses in vibrant shades which will take you from spring to summer.

There’s also a collection of accessories from bags to wallets, purses, IPod covers, shades and even umbrellas. All of these do feature the classic Burberry look but a touch of brightly colored trim gives them the look of a modern age. Anyway, if you are thinking of heading to a festival this summer, grab yourself some Burberry April Showers wellie- the perfect British summer accessory.

Chanel decided not to renew their contract with famous and troubled singer, Lilly Allen but instead to chose French star, Vanessa Paradis. Ms Paradis will now be the new face for Chanel’s handbags. As a matter of fact, Paradis is already the face of Chanel’s perfumes. Lily Allen is a British singer who rose to fame with her different type of music consisting of pure honestly and a mixture of reggae with pop.

Though her music was much appreciated throughout the world, Allen was constantly brought down by the media. Allen last year announced that she will be quitting the music scene after being disappointed with the number of pirated downloads of her songs. She is also launching her new line of clothes and stores. She formerly was the face of Chanel’s Cocoon bag last year.

Subsequently it was rumored that Chanel’s designer, Karl Lagerfeld decided to let go of Lily Allen after she got drunk at his party and misbehaved. This certainly wouldn’t gel with Chanel’s clean image.

We have to agree that the Fashion Industry is indeed releasing some trends that are simply puzzling, for example, the printed summer pantaloons out there with its zigzags colors and vivid designs. Undeniably, these pantaloons will electrify your summer wardrobe.

You can also be trendier by matching these pantaloons with a simple vest, a man’s silk pajama top or a white tuxedo jacket.

Patterned and printed pantaloons are ones to look for if you want to add some wild and offbeat colors to your summer wardrobe.

The new line of handbags by Missoni has been designed specifically by Margherita Missoni. For this line, Margherita had several icons as her inspirations. There were a few such as Eugenie Niarchos, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Lauren Santo Domingo and Coco Brandolini. The new handbags represent the feeling of being young and free. Summer will be touching us soon and we’ve have got most of our summer equipments ready, fashion-wise. We have the lovely summer dresses, sophisticated swimsuits (in case needed) and accessories such as bags and shoes. What we are currently missing is makeup kits. Now even makeup kits are made specially for a particular season.

For this summer, we chose D&G’s summer makeup collection. Why, you ask? Well, for starters our favorite actress, Scarlett Johansson, is the spokesperson for this collection.
