Audrina Patridge is the new face of Bongo Jeans


In case you have never heard of Audrina, well worry not as only those familiar with MTV’s The Hills, which is a reality show, will know about this girl. Come to think of it, we only heard about Audrina when catfights broke on the show and the show gained a much needed publicity. Now that the show is over, one of its casts, Miss Patridge got herself another job as the new face of Bongo jeans.

Audrina Patridge is now the face of Bongo Jeans and the former ‘Hills’ star will appear in the ad campaigns starting autumn. Patridge is excited stating that she has never ventured into something like this before. Patridge was very pleased with the photoshoot with renowned photographer, Tony Duran.

Audrina claims that even though she’s the new face of this face, she loves skinny jeans and boot-cut. To go with the new Bongo jeans, Audrina will choose a pair of little flats or heels and not forgetting, an appropriate top.

Debbie Gibson unveils Celebrity Jeans Charity Auction


Creating and doing a charity event is like a trend in Hollywood these days. Don’t get us wrong, not that we are opposed the idea, it seems every celebrity wants to show how much they care for the world and its people or for the environment.
The most recent charity, which was not that much spoken about, was Debbie Gibson’s online charity auction. In case you have never heard of this lady, well she’s the singer of the hit song “Only In My Dreams” (1987).

Debbie Gibson is not alone in this. As a matter of fact, a couple of her celebrities have come forward to offer a helping hand for this auction. The Only In My Jeans auction will have jeans that are signed by her celebrities friends consisting of the Desperate Housewives and Glee casts members, Ryan Seacrest, Rob Thomas, Hilary Duff, Rick Fox, Lance Bass, Chris Angel and many more.

Dolce&Gabbana pick ScarJo as their model model


If you fancy or admire Scarlett Johansson then you would be happy to know that D&G has chosen the well-known actress to be the model of their new makeup kit. Apparently, the new makeup kit is inspired by the actress herself. She does look magnificent in these ads and in the picture above.

You must be living under a rock if you have never heard of Scarlett. Scarlett Johansson, affectionately known as ScarJo, happens to be the bad girl in Iron Man 2 and is most notably known for her role in Woody Allen’s Match Point. She started out in classic roles in ancient-based movies like ‘The Girl with the Pearl Earring’ and ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’. Her most recent movie was ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, ‘He’s just not that into you’ and most recently, ‘Iron Man 2’.

More on the new D&G makeup kit, what D&G wants Scarlett to portray in these campaigns is meant to “capture classic feminine rituals and expose one of the most intimate and personal of feminine moments: a woman applying make up in the privacy of her bedroom or sanctuary.” Very classy indeed. What we see ScarJo use in the campaigns are listed as the eyeshadow quad Petal, the eyeshadow duo Mystery, the eyeliner Nude, the shine lipstick Precious, the lip gloss Innocence, the blush Apricot, and the nail lacquer Petal for the Intimate Sensuality Collection.

YSL’s Belle d’Opium


Literally if Belle d’Opium were to be translated in English, it would be Good Drug or Marijuana but nevertheless, this is not what Yves Saint Laurent is launching. The famous fashion house from France launched its new fragrance called ‘Belle D’Opium’. The renowned French brand decided to throw a multi-sensorial soiree just for the launch of this fragrance. It must smell phenomenal.

Since it’s YSL and a multi-sensorial soiree, many celebrities didn’t want to miss this night. Those who attended included the famous twin sister, Ashley Olsen, Alexis Bledel, Whitney Port, Tinsley Mortimer, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Mark Hunter “The Cobrasnake.”

Enough of the celebrities, let’s talk more about the fragrance that is set to blow your mind away. YSL’s Belle D’Opium is known as the next generation of YSL’s original Opium fragrance. For now, it’s actress Mélanie Thierry who’s the spokesperson of Belle D’Opium. The perfume is created by Honorine Blanc and Alberto Morillas who are professional perfumers. Yves Saint Laurent’s Belle d’Opium will be out in 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum in September.

Men Fashion Show in Milan


This fashion show presented Prada’s ready to wear Spring 2011 collection which saw a re-birth of the three-button suit created by none other than Miuccia Prada. The difference from this collection and other styles was that these were slim-fitted, thus making it appealing to the young men of this generation. Time will tell us how true this will be.

The suits were complemented by ties and shirts and the runway had a look of young men on their way to work. Not only that, these young men sported reflective athletic sunglasses, waist pouches and clunky shoes that have a sneaker sole amalgamated to a rope sole, combined to a wingtip.

Some models also appeared in a work wear of dark denim, wavy sweaters with flamboyant, Lifesaver stripes. The collection showcased culottes, boat-neck sweaters and shirts with dazzlingly colored plackets and collars. This Spring 2011 collection depicted innovative ideas.

Renowned designer, Italo Zucchelli, who is touted by many as the design leader of today’s generation, will be showcasing his newly-inspired line for CK.

Zucchelli opted for a different approach to his design this time by going the unconventional way with his cropped clothes 7 hard high-tech finishes. Commenting on his designs, Zucchelli had this to say, “Graphic, clean, strong, New York!”

Basically, these new clothes consist of cropped sweatshirts that tend to show a man’s abdomen that is if he sports a muscular one. We are already imaging these beefy men showing off their huge abdomen to women or men alike.
