The couture show at the Philadelphia fashion week was a different event altogether. We have been attending multiple shows these days and it’s nice for a change. The designs that we spotted on the ramp were different from each other and yet it was a pleasant experience for us. There were about eight designers who showed us their latest designs on the ramp.

For starters, there was Melani Von Alexandria who showcased geisha-inspired gowns and dresses; Ray Vincent with his hooded menswear collection and Mon Ari 1962 who showed his collection consisting of sequins and skullcaps, something like that.

The Mon Ari 1962 collection featured sequin inlays at the inner thigh, fur cuffs, the leather lining on the underside of the collar and the studded skullcaps. Very strange lineup but it was interesting.
Meanwhile, Ray Vincent showed us his menswear collection which consisted of scarves, hoods and thick cowl necks and we can’t help but notice the strong patterns in his design, quite a strong showcase.
